Barefoot Beach

Barefoot Beach

Barefoot Beach, located on the eastern side of Grand Cayman, is a hidden gem perfect for those seeking solitude and natural beauty. This beach is more remote, requiring a bit of a drive and a short walk from where you park along the road, but it’s worth the journey for its seclusion and stunning views. The walk from the car to the beach is fairly easy, though it’s wise to bring your own supplies, as there are no facilities or restaurants nearby. The beach’s white sand and turquoise waters create a postcard-worthy setting, with rocky outcroppings adding to its rugged charm. Due to its more remote location, Barefoot Beach is typically very quiet, offering visitors the chance to have the beach almost entirely to themselves. The waters can be a bit rougher here compared to the western beaches, so it’s not ideal for small children or those looking for calm swimming conditions. It's worth noting though that it all depends on the wind. When the wind is calm, or coming directly from the south, this beach can be very calm. When that happens, the snorkeling near the rocky areas is excellent, with plenty of marine life to discover. There’s no sargassum issue here, and the natural surroundings make it a beautiful spot for beachcombing or relaxing in the sun. While Barefoot Beach lacks amenities, its untouched beauty makes it a perfect choice for those wanting to experience a more rugged, natural side of Grand Cayman.
