Sunset Cove Beach, located at the southern end of Seven Mile Beach, offers a relaxed atmosphere with easy access to the water and nearby amenities. This beach is popular with visitors staying at the Sunset Cove Condos and other nearby accommodations, but it's open to the public as well. To access the beach, you'll find parking available at the nearby resort or street parking a short walk away. The beach itself is easy to reach, and carrying beach chairs, coolers, or snorkeling gear from your car is no hassle. The beach’s natural curve creates a sheltered lagoon that’s perfect for swimming and wading, particularly for families with young children. The lagoon’s calm, shallow waters make it an excellent spot for small children to safely enjoy the ocean. One of the unique features of Sunset Cove Beach is its man-made breakwater, which protects the beach from larger waves and makes the lagoon an ideal area for swimming and snorkeling. While the snorkeling within the lagoon is limited in terms of marine life, you’ll still see plenty of small fish. For more vibrant underwater exploration, you can swim past the breakwater to experience some of Grand Cayman’s excellent coral reefs. Sunset Cove also has a restaurant and bar nearby, making it easy to grab a bite or enjoy a cocktail without having to leave the beach. The beach rarely experiences issues with sargassum, and its gentle waters provide a perfect setting for a relaxing day.
